Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex

Education, discovery, and wonder blend together at the Kennedy Space Center. Located on the east cape of Florida, the Kennedy Space Center is surrounded by fully operational NASA launch centers and is one of ten National Aeronautics and Space Administration field centers. Since 1968, this location has been the primary launch center for human spaceflight, so if you’ve ever been interested in spaceflight or aeronautics, this is the place to visit!

The Kennedy Space Center offers a variety of educational, family-friendly attractions that are organized into Mission Zones, where attractions are grouped by chronological era. This allows you to explore the timeline of space exploration in a clear and concise way.

Start with Heroes & Legends, which applauds the pioneers of early space exploration. This includes the Astronaut Hall of Fame, the Rocket Garden, where you can walk amongst the towering rockets from NASA’s Mercury, Gemini and Apollo programs.

Of course, while you can’t visit many functioning portions of NASA’s spaceflight operations, you can visit Behind the Gates, which gives you access to historical launch sites and working spaceflight facilities from the Kennedy Space Center Bus Tour. Choose the bus tour that best aligns with your interests, it’s included in the price of admission!

Race To The Moon explores that ground-breaking and world-changing time when man was racing to be the first to set foot on the moon. Explore the wonder of the Apollo Program and gape up in wonder at the Saturn V, the largest rocket ever flown!

Shuttle: A Ship Like No Other will introduce you to the space shuttle that helped ferry astronauts to and from the space station for 30 years. You can learn how to fly and dock the shuttle at flight simulators and see what it feels like to be “lift off” in the Shuttle Launch Experience.

NASA Now + Next will allow you to look into the future of space exploration and learn about upcoming and current missions to the International Space Station.

Dining and shopping options abound at the Kennedy Space Center. So, there will be no shortage of opportunities to relax and dine and discuss the fascinating sights you’ve spent the day exploring.
